It was born in a humble shop, built on love for making things with my hands, and rooted in belief of the people around me — family, friends, and colleagues — who told me, “You’ve got something special. You need to do this.”

But it truly began with one man—my father-in-law. He passed down the tools. Not just the physical ones — the chisels, saws, and clamps — but the mindset, the respect for craft, and the quiet confidence that comes with building something real. Though he’s no longer here, I carry those tools, and that spirit, into every piece that I create. This brand is as much his as it is mine.

Encouraged by those who stood beside me and driven to honor the man who handed me the torch, I made it official. As a veteran, a builder, and a man proud of where he came from, I formed The Bearded Frog to create handcrafted wood goods with soul — calls, boxes, and custom pieces that speak for themselves and stand the test of time.
